1. Budoy started great with a a touching storyline, reminiscent of stories like Santino and 100 days to heaven that uplifts ones emotion and spiritually . However, the once mentally challenged young man, full of hope and positive vibes has turned into a mystery crime agent sort of ~~crap~~ thing. He has suddenly become so inquisitive and meddles too much in the life of his half brother and her Tita's dreary past. Who are you kidding?

The writers should focus on the story.

2. I've seen parts of Seal's interview on Travis Smiley. I always thought that Heidi was better off with someone else because shes stunning and perfect. But listening to Seal's well thought answer made me admire this man beyond physical.

I would have opted to skip this post but there is a need for me to share this one really quick. Its about Dawn Zulueta, i've seen some parts of the new teleserye (Walang Hanggan) reuniting her with old flame Richard Gomez. Correct me if I'm wrong since i only get to watch a few parts because i went out of my room to eat.

I thought her acting was Superb! And i was impressed in the part where she was pretending to be indifferent or angered and then when Richard walked away she sobbed and cried like i was transported to that kind of feeling. I just noticed the difference of her acting from other young stars, who could also cry big time with real tears and stuff, but what good veteran actors does is to actually transcend the feeling to the audience. Definitely not over acting, just Brilliant!

During my stint as a regular employee, i experienced big changes in my work lifestyle. And one of them is buying cheap food from food trucks (jolly jeeps) or hole in the wall places (carinderia) along Makati area. As a freelance artist, I seldom get in trouble with my financial plan because my overhead (money) is usually flexible since i have fewer working days. And if you are working on a regular basis, there are times when you cant guarantee your 2 weeks budget.

Thus the term "Petsa de peligro" originated. -- the sign of poverty among the working class. When they opt to bring baon or buy the most affordable yet substantial meal in their suking tindahan and worse is to borrow lunch money from an office mate.

I usually eat early, like 10am at my favorite pantry which is near the colorists suite. One of my favorite food place is Pastores. They have these "malasa " and "nakakasuya" food choices. I remember when Gara and i were still new, we asked Regina about Pastores, "Masarap sha sa una, pero pag lagi nakaka sawa na" And true enough, it was indeed nakakasawa.

But in fairness to Pastores, at 70/80 pesos, their ulam is so much better comapared to the 50 pesos meals of Jollyjeep and the 60 pesos budget (sangkutchado- lacking flavor) meals of Worldtopps.

Among my favorites were the pork with white sauce (whatever that is,which sometimes interchange with afritada) and the ultimate complete meal -- ground meat with cubed carrots and potatoes, hard boiled egg and corn kernels. That's Picadillo level up but they call it Giniling. Writing it down actually made me smile. It's one of my happy thoughts, specially when "darleng" (the gay service crew) would add extra scoops.

Gara and Feebs love thier Adobong pusit while Regina and Kacey were Caldereta fanatics. Well Kacey is actually a die hard suki of the Jollyjeep BDO branch with her usual fare of tinola and another ulam (either bopis or something else). Sheribell usually buys nilaga at Jollyjeep Pastores branch and Sie either has baon or buys at any Jollyjeep branches. Wings and the 3d guys are Worldtopps and Ministop Chicken frequenters.

I also love Ministop's fried chicken (breast part with extra chilli oil please! that's additional 2 pesos ) Perea Branch has among the bigger chicken parts and at 70 pesos that's super duper sulit. But now that they're under a new management their chicken sizes also drastically scaled down. Later that year, we discovered Jollyjeep Rada branch' wicked Sisig at 50 pesos, i also tried their pork bbq, beef kare kare, miswa soup, caldereta and none of it has failed my discriminating food fetish (haha). Although their servings are pretty small, for me they're (unofficially) the best Jollyjeep in Makati. (the lady owner wears a green sanuk and calls all her staff "ning")

Its so much fun to reminisce events which is part of the trivial routine. We wouldn't appreciate it unless we try to look back.Somehow these irrelevant events and the least of things can make our day a whole lot better.

I have a slightly disrupted sleep pattern, probably because of what i recently encountered at work. I don't really wanna tackle it here, cos its quite traumatic and in as much as i wanted to get mad and outrage about it, it just isn't me.

I know, its part of the learning process, and no matter how old you are or how adept you are in a certain field, not everything you plan will turn out exactly the way you want it. Of course i just cant help but feel emotional. I've also come to realize that failure is inevitable. There are things that no matter how much effort you put in, no matter how much love you give, Some things just wont work.. And sometimes it ends painfully. But you know what, if you try to look into the brighter side, then we can turn things around.

If we will not experience failure then we would've not learn from our mistakes.. If we wont feel the pain of getting out of hand then we wouldn't strive to do better next time. If we wouldn't break apart then we wouldn't know how it feels to be whole again. I think life is fair enough. This life is a training ground to reveal both our weaknesses, and our strengths. God uses our trials to reveal both character flaws and good character to grow in us.

It would matter if we accept and trust that God is able and willing to make us feel better.

So I'm gonna cheer up than waste my time grunting.

Magkape kaya ako? Onga pala, masakit yun paa ko ulet. Ayoko sana muna mag work this January, kasi pagod na pagod ako nung mga nakaraan na months, plus, kaka tapos lang ng last project ko, gusto ko sana mag pahinga, e ang wierd naman, dahil parang lagi naman akong nakapahinga.Gusto ko magkaron ng divertion like mag aral ng something siguro, tutal freelance na naman ako ulet, mas may time ako gumawa ng madaming bagay bagay.

Kaso lang tamad ako kumilos. Ang activity ko lang ay mag work, mag inernet at mag blog. Nasgrerevolve lang buhay ko sa upuan at harap ng monitor. tsk tsk

Ayoko mag commute, nawiwierduhan ako sa idea na nagjejeep ka kasama ng ibang mga tao. Tapos super close kayo sa upuan or sa Lrt, halos mag kadikit na yun katawan nyo, tapos during idle moments nakatitigl ang kayo sa isat isa nagppretend na may iniisip na iba, para hindi awkward . Ang wierd talaga nung idea na yun.

Pinipigil ko kumain ng lechon kaya di ako lumalabas ng kwarto, yun ang totoong reason ko. walang ibang emotional reason. hahah.

Pano kaya kunware mag asawa na ako bigla, nakakagulat noh? kahit ako magugulat. hahah

Shempre bago ako mag aswa dapat alam ko muna yung dream guy ko. Ang gusto ko talaga sana yun green yung jaw line. Alam mo yung pag bagong ahit, dapat green yun pinag-ahitan , parang sina jude law. Gusto ko din, maganda yun boses, ayoko ng parang si gloc 9 magsalita. Mas okay din yung guy na tahimik lang, pero articulate at hindi masabat, na parang akala mo alam lahat ng bagay at madaldal pa sa babae. Tapos yung guy dapat pag nagalit mahina lang yun boses, tapos pag nagmura. sha,ganito lang ffffuhh di matutuloy yung fuck pag sinabi nya. Ok din siguro kung funny, ok din namn kung sporty , pero mas ok kung geeky, kasi madami ka matatanong about a lot of stuff. Ayan lang muna.

Christmas this year was majorly exhausting because of a tiresome week ahead ,it made me want to complain because work almost ruined my Christmas. But no way! this is my favorite holiday of the year. I was brought up believing that this day is synonymous to Magic. And without extending unfathomable meaning, for me everything about Christmas is special.

Yes it could have a materialistic connotation, it could be about the presents we receive or the food we feast on. The luxury of a worry free and work free day. Splurging on hard earned money to buy gifts, wrap em up and then tore it apart. Not a single logic was given that day, haha don't we just love being unreasonable sometimes, its like feeling in love. when you care less about coherence.

So this Christmas, i bought Gifts a few hours before Noche Buena, in a nearby mall, (oy hindi naman sa EVER, Sa SM naman. hahah.) I just grabbed shirts from Giordano for the boys and some girly blouses. or those that are flowy, i wouldn't know how to call it . No gift wrapping needed because of the paper bag. For the kids, i got Ashton an rc toy car, of course from the Cars Pixar franchise which he collects. Ashley was skeptical if she wanted bag or money, so she ended up choosing a bag of money. wise kid! For the older people i bought older types of clothing, i don't know how to call that either. For my lola she just wanted daster (pambahay clothing for grannies) so i had my sister in charge earlier that week. My sister asked me to help her wrap her gifts in her signature way of wrapping gifts -- "the Jing's Candy style wrapping center". First you get a wrapping paper . Second, roll up whatever gift was on hand and Third, put ribbon on both ends disgustingly fast, yes like that.

We had dinner around 8-ish, while crispy pata was still cooking in the oven, and chicken was still cold. We had the usual spread, the only new part of the menu was that Sinigang na Salmon which I'm sure had its awkward moment beside all the usual Christmas feast on the Christmas table. After dinner, we headed to our traditional 'Christmas sharing portion". It's actually like sharing our testimonies of God's goodness through out the year. I was assigned to start with the opening prayer, daddy introduced me as coach because i was wearing a Philippine jacket that my sister wanted me to wear for some retarded reason. My sister had a special number, she sang and she made piyok pa ahahah . Then we had 3 games, first is the Tanging hinga mo for the elder people. The second game was the one that uses name cards that you put in the forehead, and the third was stop-dance for everyone. Looking back, it was hilarious because we're only few in the family and we're all dancing like awkward people. ahahah

When its almost midnight, the most awaited part began-- gift giving!!! by this time, Pork was baked to crunchy perfection and baked bbq Chicken was served to cap the night off.

It's been a while since i post something personal. I was up to a lot of things, like attending different meetings, freelance work and getting caffeine infused (let me borrow your twitter name fran) I thought resigning would be so much better since i will be able to choose my schedule and allot a reasonable amount of rest time for my poor kidney. Well look at me now? I'm busier and stressed than never. Good thing i get to work at home and conveniently sleep during render time, plus the best part --- food is free! I also get so frustrated and exhausted altogether during trying times but the thing about freelancing is that you don't get the same feeling overtime.You wont really get bored. you only get excited about an upcoming project or paranoid when you don't get to work on something for a month, its actually extreme feelings. One day i could be feeling so emotional and then the next day I'm beating a sucky deadline. I could be walking in Makati, meeting up corporate people or just bumming at home. So this is pretty much the freelance vibe.

Someone asked how old i am now, well i honestly forgot about my age. I think i have the forever young syndrome.

A cab driver once thought i was still a college student, and our plumber whose name is "Michael" thought my sister was older than me. Even our house help, they thought i was like 25 or something. Some of our relatives think I'm younger than my cousin Christian who is 3 years younger than me. Wait, wait there's more, like one day, i heard this law student, she was talking to my mom, and they were talking about me, because all along she thought, Jing was older than me. Yes these are facts and i would like to rub this in

So now, since i mentioned the above incidents, allow me to share some tips on how to look younger. (cough, cough)

1. Sometimes its really not how you look, but its the attitude --Act young.

2. Put on make up..on your graduation day ONLY.

3. Don't eat kakanin, ube or other stuff that old people like. That's a big NO.

4. Immerse yourself with younger people, like 7 to 10 years old and pretend they're more matured than you are.

5. Watch fun movies, shows...Don't watch Porn, that'll make you look old.

6. Invent your jokes

7. Wear shirts with fresh and unique designs

8. Forget about your real age.

Tell them your 21 and they'll go like - weh?

Tell them you're 42 and they'll say - weh?

Get the point.

9. Act awkwardly

10. Be close to your parents,..because parents always think that were still kids.

I read an article about Senator Bong Bong Marcos criticizing Aquion's "Selective Justice" against ex president Arroyo's administrative case.

Excerpt from Yahoo News:

Senator Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos, Jr. criticized President Benigno Aquino III’s handling of the case of former president Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, calling it “a bit of a mess.”

“Hindi maayos ang pag-handle dito. Hindi yata nila napag-isipan at napagplanuhan ng maigi kung ano ang kanilang gagawin,” Marcos said in an interview Tuesday.

‘Selective application’ of justice

“They want to prosecute Arroyo and they are doing everything,” he said. “They are very selective in their application of justice. They are very selective in their application of the use of the power of the executive and that selection is according to the political and partisan lines.”

The senator also hit the administration for not complying with the Supreme Court’s decisions.

“It is a dismay to see that orders of the Supreme Court are no longer respected or followed. This strikes at the very heart of our legal system and if the president and his alter ego, which is the secretaries of the different departments, choose not to follow the SC then that is a very serious blow to the separation and equality of the different departments of government,” Marcos said.

Extradition an option

The senator added that he does not support the administration’s decision to stop Arroyo from traveling abroad to seek medical treatment.

There are legal remedies to extradite Arroyo back to the country to face her cases in case she plans to escape, Marcos said.
“It seems to reflect the general difficulties that this administration has been facing. I know for sure that it could have been done in a much better way,” he said.

I totally agree with what he said, its just that, coming from someone who is part of a much more controversial and tainted regime, his opinions seemed muffled and ineffective.

Dear Lord,

Thank you for this day. Its always been so hard for me to think of what i want on my birthday, i don't use make up or picky about perfumes, i only buy my shirts in one particular store, I'm not fond of bags or wallets or flowers or balloons or cake. Although a usb flash disk is fine.

But i appreciate everything i have in my life, the good and the bad.. My value in Your eyes always remains the same. Thank you for never giving up on me and that same reason made me not give up on my self.

Yesterday was an awesome day. (Imagine me coming out of the house singing that good morning sa inyo nestle theme song). I went to the office to turn over my renders for my freelance work. I stayed in the lounge to make senseless talks with the fabulous traffic coordinators Monique and NJanna (Monique is the teleserye villain and Janna is the Nina look a like, and i love them!) Lo and behold, my idol colorist entered the door, She saw me and greeted me in her theatrical manner of speech...,and then she kissed me and told me i lost weight...Anything more fantastic than this?

She is like the Angelina Jolie colorist in this side of the planet.

She is the best in Asia.

She is Legendary.

This time around was my sister's 23rd birthday. Looking back when i was just starting in 2004, my first official TF (talent fee) was P1,500, it was our training fee and we should finish restoring the remaining parts of the film (Makiusap ka sa Diyos) for a little less than 2 weeks. Unfortunately our skills back then still couldn't keep up with the fast-paced media production convention, so it took us 1 month. Imagine that? P1,500 for roughly 30 days. Our helpers at home i think was earning 2k/month during that time, so they get more than what i earn. Usually Kateng and i would take the bus after work, standing - like were surfing in the middle of the bus because all seats are taken. Our Boss (Ms. Maj) , would give us P500 allowance every week. One time, we were so thirsty from walking in Glorieta. Kateng and i agreed to dine and ordered for 1 peperoni pizza and 2 raspberry iced tea. On the end of that week, our vouchers just had one receipt from our bill at CPK. Lol! We were just so careless and money wasn't still an issue, i don't know why we continued working inspite of the minimal tf and how in the world were we able to survive? Maybe because our parents were still so lenient and we just got off from school so they still give us money, plus my dad takes me to the office every morning for 3 months. So its practically like school plus were earning P1500 TF and 1000 food allowance for 2 weeks, not bad ? haha.

There was even a time when my parents wanted me to apply for a new job at my tito's office but i didn't wanted to leave because i was still enjoying and anticipating for the things i will learn in the post production industry.

Last Oct.29, Ashton celebrated his 7th Angrybirds birthday party with the family. We don't usually have lots of guest, just a few family friends (around 6 people) and Ashton's 2 cousins (maternal side). So 12 balloons is more than enough since there are only 2 kids to celebrate with him and his Ate Ashley. He was so delighted with his made up Angrybirds cake which Tita Jing and Tito Xtian bought, we just decorated it with Angrybirds plastic toys, and I thought it looks like basura haha! Daddy cooked too much wicked food like kare kare, rellenong alimango, kaldereta, roasted chicken, fried chicken,cripy pata, chicken sisig, pansit canton, lumpiang shanghai, *STEAMED FISH, steamed shrimps and kinilaw na isda. For dessert, we had leche flan, buko pandan, puto, ube and chocolate cakes. Theres so much food for less than 30 people so we ate a lot of leftovers the next 2 days.

Hello, I just want to deviate from my recent sad posts so I'm writing something nonchalant. Since i resigned, i seldom go out, like 2's a week or if there's a meeting or blood chemistry or whenever i buy something at Hypermart Nagtahan and Sunday service. I also started eating healthy because of my elevated "everything" . I cut down on greasy goodness and feed on dull organic stuff, which i HATE! Its like eating nothing, because i also regulate my sodium intake so my meals are practically tasteless. I know, i know, poor me. Its comparable to eating the bottom paper of a siopao. =(

But this is good for me, because i feel better now. So everyday, i try to cooperate and appreciate everything. In fact, I love mangoes, its sweet. I love salads, its sooo...green and bland and Steamed fish are friends, not food...I don't like eating fish with heads on them, Maybe I'm a vegetarian shark?

I miss chicken and pork... and butter...and spaghetti..and pizza.. God this is so sad.... =(

My former restoration colleagues/ friends met up and paid last respect to our dear boss. It was heavy in the heart to see her lifeless. Everyone was affected in a way bcos shes instrumental in our career and we wont prolly be friends if she didn't hire us all. After the wake, we went out to eat and stayed for a while to catch up on each other at Lugawan Republic.

This was an "FB" exchange we had with each other last April.. Those years at Unitel -Pictureworks was simple yet really good and fun times in our lives.

Around 3am,my friend Raks messaged me that our former producer died and i couldn't believe so i had to check Gara's facebook. Miss Maj was my first immediate boss in my first ever job as a digital restoration artist (2004). She was young, pretty, smart and always fashionable. My colleagues and i probably accepted that low paying job because of our pretty boss.. She was a great part in the formative years of my career because she believed in me. And i know, because i somehow felt her confidence in me and the rest of the team. The "kudos" you gave us when we accomplished something made us all value that good work ethics surpasses excellent work skills. Thank you for opening the door for us in this industry. We love you and we will miss you.

I've been experiencing a health meltdown for a few months now. I have never had severe ailments for the last 12 years ( post kidney transplant). Only occasional flu, sore throats or stomach aches, but nothing serious.

Yesterday was different. For 2 days, i had a sudden stomach pain,but a few days before that, i had petechiae and bruises coming out of my lower extremities. I wasnt afraid of dying. I always knew it will be a short one for me..

So yesterday, my prayer was like. God please don't let it be so hard for my family, please don't let them suffer emotionally...please take away the pain in my stomach.

It was a painful battle , i didn't want to tell them how painful it was, so i was pretending i was able to hadle it.. I can't eat and i was looking for a comfortable spot where my stomach wont hurt, so i had to sit down , and every time my mom check's me in my room , i pretend i was asleep so she wont worry.

To cut it short, i wasnt really hoping for anything...i didn't want to go to the hospital either, i don't want to be checked..I lost that desire of getting or feeling better.

I lost Hope.

Ever since i got sick, i always thought i won't live a long life..and it's been 12 years since God gave me a chance , why can't i give him a chance? ...Maybe he wanted me to live not just a longer life but a well lived one.

Today, i feel better, i had my blood checked, and a lot of the results were elevated from the normal range...but i got my hope back so I'm ready to rock.

I bite into its pillow soft bread and all that powdered sugar drenched my mouth...Dunkin, who doesn't knew this brand of donuts? I had these eons of years ago , and i hated it for a while because its too sweet for my taste buds. I was more into their bunwich - a ham and cheese or blt sandwiched on a bun. But I personally like their Spanish sausage with pineapple dressing, i wonder if they still have that?
Then Donut mania hits Manila with all the gonuts-krispy creme craze which is way way sweeter than the lowly original. Of course, people are constantly seeking for something new to try out. Not to mention that we are sucker for latest trends and finds. I think that drilled the hole for Dunkin as far as the Filipino market. Ok, enough of me sounding like an analyst. So off I go and grabbed a dunkin, I had the premium donut which cost 45 pesos, a bit pricier and bigger compared to the regular flavors. I had Chocolate nirvana something and I was excited for my first bite, then...it was phenomenal. Not because it tasted so good but probably becos' of the memories i had with it. Its like Ego, when he had that ratatouille, it sends him back to fun memories when he was a kid. Or maybe its like seeing your first love or hearing his name again, even if you don't feel the same way for that person, there's still a distinct impact that corresponds with it even after so many years of not being together.. I hope that made sense. =)

I can say with full conviction that Philippines is a country known for its beautiful women in the same way that Brazil, Mexico ,Venezuela and other Latin American countries are set apart for. Because our Country predominates in different pageants worldwide, Right? Now, i no longer need to make up stories that I'm half Brazilian-Mexican or whatever country i want that particular time,lol.

AE Error Parsing solution

Hi, if ever you attempt to start Adobe After Effects CS4, and it crashes with the error message "After Effects warning: Error parsing properties list." What are you suppose to do?

The office technician downloaded extrensions and have it installed then things went fine.

But i learned about this solution and it worked for me.

1. you go to START

2. RUN > %appdata%

3. Look for the Adobe folder

4. click the After effects folder

5. click 9.0 folder

6. delete AIeffectsCache

And it should work fine.

Anyhow, i take no responsibility for any loss data, so i recommend that you backup the 9.0 folder.

Dad's Epic PMS

So i was home with my dad because mom was out of town with my lola and today was my sister's first day in her first job. I was just hanging around, sitting and surfing the net. I would occasionally walk to get food or water or tea. Around lunch time, my dad brought me a big bowl of pork soup inside my room. I don't know what it's called but it has 3 chunks of fried liempo swimming in a clear broth similar to nilaga but tastes more Asian becasue it had lots of coriander and cilantro. It also had potatoes and chillies. Perhaps one of my dad's concoction.

Me: ummm walang kanin?

Dad: me patatas na yan

Me: parang mas ok kung may kanin eh

Dad: mabubusog ka na jan daming patatas nyan...

while walking towards the door , i swear i heard him say "tabang taba mo na eh..."

So it was like BITCH , PHU-LEASE!

In a couple of days, I'll be embarking a new chapter in my life. But before i talk about it, id like to highlight a few things in my life NOW.

We have this other set of friends in the office, all in their early 30's bunch of cool people. One of em' is Abigail Sta Ana. Tough, long black shiny hair, curses a lot, doesn't smoke, doesn't do drugs, below average human height but you sum that up and it's equal to AWESOME. I did mention about her undying support during our company outing.in my previous post.

As a friend, she doesn't do a lot of sweet things or show deep emotional attachment, or say nicely composed phrases. No surprises here. But what amazes me is how we gained confidence in one another without having too much effort to give . We connect naturally without being clingy. I don't know what you call that.but Gara and i are extremely happy to have found her along the way. And because of this beautiful friendship,We dedicate this song to Abi.

We can't avoid making em. Even the slightest things like killing a mosquito is an effect brought about by making a decision. Even at a young age, we were able to decide one way or the other. Like what food are we going to have for recess or the friends we wanted to play with or the club we wanted to join. Although.our parent's decisions were vital and definite during our growing years.

Right now, whether i like it or not, admit it or deny... I'm an Adult. I still consider parental advices of course but I'm ultimately the one responsible for my own actions and decisions. Do you guys ever notice Mariah's hands whenever she sings? It goes really wild and weird. I don't know what you call that, maybe it helps her to belt out high notes or something. I read about the expansive vocal ranges and She is one of the few singers who're able to reach the whistle tone, which is beyond falsetto. I wanted to sleep early so badly but there is no way imma get the zzzz's. So I thought about a lot of things.. Mostly random stuff that doesn't linger that much. And then i composed a short message on my cellphone. While keying the message, I realize that people are so much capable of learning and unlearning. Like we are moved to attach our feelings and eventually detach towards someone or something . We recollect happy thoughts and then try to obliterate the sad events. Perhaps, our brain has the ability of sorting out our memory. Kind of a part of our Neuro-Psychological defense. But God is clever cos' He gave us something distinctively human. Our SOUL is what sets us apart from plants, animals and other inanimate objects.--The incorporeal essence of a person.

When something has touched our lives or hurt us so bad, either way our soul is ignited . It is imprinted within us and nothing can ever change that. Sometimes we choose to forget because its simply better that way. But there is a point when we recognize our soul's strong desire for something ethereal. That is when our soul yearns for its soul mate.

A soul mate doesn't necessarily pertain to someone you are destined to be with. Or the one great love of your life. Maybe just someone you shared your real self with. Or Someone who unexpectedly touched your life and vise versa.

Ashley turns 10

Last Sunday my niece Ashley turns 10 and celebrated her birthday with us. She only wanted Chicken,Carbonara and garlic bread but my dad cooked an entire feast that consists of Kare-Kare, beef caldereta, Pata tim, Fried Chicken, 2 kinds of prawns and Mapo tofu. Mommy instructed me to cook the carbonara and it was easy peasy. There were pink balloons and Disney princess banderitas too . She got a year supply of scrapbook stuff for her present which she requested from the young adults (us) and money from the senior citizens. Simple dinner celebrations like this makes me happy, not to mention busog. Happy birthday Ashley, We love yah!

Prof: Is there sickness? Hatred? Ugliness? All these terrible things exist in the world, don’t they?

Student :Yes, sir.

Prof: So, who created them?

(Student has no answer.)

Prof: Science says you have 5 senses you use to identify and observe the world around you. Tell me, son…Have you ever seen God?
Student : No, sir.

Prof: Tell us if you have ever heard your God?

Student : No , sir.

Prof: Have you ever felt your God, tasted your God, smelled your God? Have you ever had any sensory perception of God for that matter?

Student : No, sir. I’m afraid I haven’t.

Prof: Yet you still believe in Him?

Student : Yes.

Prof: According to empirical, testable, demonstrable protocol, science says your GOD doesn’t exist. What do you say to that, son?

Student : Nothing. I only have my faith.

Prof: Yes. Faith. And that is the problem science has.

Student : Professor, is there such a thing as heat?

Prof: Yes.

Student : And is there such a thing as cold?

Prof: Yes.

Student : No sir. There isn’t.

(The lecture theater becomes very quiet with this turn of events.)

Student : Sir, you can have lots of heat, even more heat, superheat, mega heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat. But we don’t have anything called cold. We can hit 458 degrees below zero which is no heat, but we can’t go any further after that. There is no such thing as cold. Cold is only a word we use to describe the absence of heat. We cannot measure cold. Heat is energy. Cold is not the opposite of heat, sir, just the absence of it.

(There is pin-drop silence in the lecture theater.)

Student : What about darkness, Professor? Is there such a thing as darkness?

Prof: Yes. What is night if there isn’t darkness?

Student : You’re wrong again, sir. Darkness is the absence of something. You can have low light, normal light, bright light, flashing light…. But if you have no light constantly, you have nothing and it’s called darkness, isn’t it? In reality, darkness isn’t. If it were, you would be able to make darkness darker, wouldn’t you?

Prof: So what is the point you are making, young man?

Student : Sir, my point is your philosophical premise is flawed.

Prof: Flawed? Can you explain how?

Student : Sir, you are working on the premise of duality. You argue there is life and then there is death, a good God and a bad God. You are viewing the concept of God as something finite, something we can measure. Sir, science can’t even explain a thought. It uses electricity and magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully understood either one. To view death as the opposite of life is to be ignorant of the fact that death cannot exist as a substantive thing. Death is not the opposite of life: just the absence of it. Now tell me, Professor. Do you teach your students that they evolved from a monkey?

Prof: If you are referring to the natural evolutionary process, yes, of course, I do.

Student : Have you ever observed evolution with your own eyes, sir?

(The Professor shakes his head with a smile, beginning to realize where the argument is going.)

Student : Since no one has ever observed the process of evolution at work and cannot even prove that this process is an on-going, are you not teaching your opinion, sir? Are you not a scientist but a preacher?

(The class is in uproar.)

Student : Is there anyone in the class who has ever seen the Professor’s brain?

(The class breaks out into laughter.)

Student : Is there anyone here who has ever heard the Professor’s brain, felt it, touched or smelled it?…..No one appears to have done so. So, according to the established rules of empirical,stable, demonstrable protocol, science says that you have no brain, sir. With all due respect, sir, how do we then trust your lectures, sir?

(The room is silent. The professor stares at the student, his face unfathomable.)

Prof: I guess you’ll have to take them on faith, son.

Student : That is it, sir.. The link between man & god is FAITH. That is all that keeps things moving & alive.

The professor sat down.

There's so much things going around. I think this is officially the Asshole Month. A lot of careless , inconsiderate and unreasonable people and situations. I'm not a PERFECT person, I'm not in a Utopian state. My parents are both human beings and i live in Manila. There's nothing more raw than these facts. But i cant help but get affected by things i don't wanna know but still finds its way to me. I may not really talk about this in person , but that's what blogs are made of right? Blog exploits vulnerability.

Easy. All of us make mistakes. Some systems are selfish.. And the best thing we can do is to detach ourselves from all the bad vibes. You may experience a lot of it at work, at home or your love life. Just try to look into the potential rather than the obvious problem. Always look into the bigger picture in general. Try to live peacefully and harmoniously with everyone around you. Continuously give 100 percent to your work. Respect is important even if it 's not reciprocated. I may not be able to change the system, but i wont let that system change my principles either.
